Managing your account and profile
Update your personal details, password, and communication preferences.
Update your profile details
From the dashboard, open Settings → Profile to edit your name, timezone, or preferred pronouns. Changes save instantly. Keeping your profile information current ensures that your reports, communications, and recommendations are personalized accurately to your needs.
Your profile information is entirely under your control. You can update your details as often as needed, and changes take effect immediately across all areas of the platform. We use this information solely to enhance your experience and never share it with third parties without your explicit consent.
In addition to basic details like name and email, you can optionally provide additional context about your goals for using the Enneagram, your professional background, or areas where you're seeking growth. This supplementary information can help personalize future communications and recommendations, though it's entirely optional.
Some users find it helpful to periodically update their profile notes as they progress through their Enneagram journey. You might record insights, track which recommendations you've implemented, or note questions to explore with a coach. Consider your profile as a personal space for growth documentation.
Keep your login secure
Use Settings → Security to update your password. We recommend a unique passphrase and enabling two-factor authentication when available. Security is a shared responsibility, and these steps significantly reduce the risk of unauthorized access to your account.
A strong password should be at least 12 characters long and include a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. However, even better than a complex password is a unique passphrase—a series of random words that are easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess. For example, "coffee-mountain-bicycle-sunset" is both memorable and secure.
Never reuse passwords across multiple sites. If you're concerned about remembering multiple strong passwords, consider using a reputable password manager. These tools can generate and store complex passwords securely, making it easy to maintain unique credentials for every account.
Two-factor authentication (when available) adds an essential second layer of protection. Even if someone obtains your password, they won't be able to access your account without also having access to your second factor—typically your phone. We strongly encourage all users to enable this feature.
If you suspect your account has been compromised or you notice suspicious activity, change your password immediately and contact our support team. We monitor for unusual login patterns and will alert you if we detect potentially unauthorized access attempts.
Control how we contact you
Notification toggles let you opt into reminders, new insight launches, and research invitations. Adjust them anytime. We respect your inbox and believe in thoughtful communication rather than overwhelming you with messages.
You have granular control over different types of communications. You might want to receive updates about new assessment features but not participate in research studies, or vice versa. The notification preferences let you choose exactly what information reaches you.
We send several types of communications: transactional emails (like password resets and purchase confirmations), educational content (insights about your type and growth recommendations), product updates (new features or improvements), and optional research invitations (opportunities to contribute to Enneagram research). You can customize your preferences for each category independently.
Transactional emails cannot be disabled as they contain critical information about your account and purchases. However, all marketing, educational, and research communications are entirely opt-in. You control the frequency and types of messages you receive.
Privacy and data management
Your privacy is paramount. You can review exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and who has access to it by visiting Settings → Privacy. We follow strict data protection standards and comply with regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
If you ever wish to export your data, you can request a complete copy of all information associated with your account. This includes your assessment responses, results, profile information, and communication history. We'll provide this data in a machine-readable format within a reasonable timeframe.
Should you decide to delete your account, we respect that choice completely. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your personal information from our active systems. Some data may be retained in backups for a limited period as required by law, but it will never be used or accessed after account deletion.
We're transparent about any changes to our privacy practices. When we update our privacy policy, we'll notify you and provide a summary of what changed. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of these updates, but we always aim to maintain or enhance privacy protections rather than diminish them.
